Thanksgiving road trip... long drive!!




Drove up to my parent's ranch in Yreka Ca. for Thanksgiving. Had a great time seeing family, eating, skeet shooting and exploring the area. But


man what a drive! 520 miles each way from Paso Robles.


Yreka is a very neat old town with alot of history. Most notably, it served as the capital for the State of Jefferson, during the push to separate from California to become the 48th state (Hawaii and Alaska were not yet states) click on the title above for the link to the history of Jefferson. To this day the people are very independent, and don't trust the Government much.

As with any old town there are alot of cool old signs, here are just a few that I shot photos of...
